This new phase of work, beginning in 2024, seeks to explore atmosphere more deeply while loosening realism and retaining an underlying structure. Forms dissolve into fields of pigmented color, with an increased use of washes and flowing paint. A small bridge over a tributary is almost lost within a haze of saturated sapphire and jade.
